This role is responsible for onboarding, training, and supporting new Practice Managers in Thrive policies and procedures. The position partners with other Thrive departments to review workflows, support new project rollouts, and continuously improve current policies and procedures.

We’re looking for a Manager, Hospital Operations to join the Thrive Pet Healthcare Home Office team.
 
In this role, you’ll play a meaningful part in advancing our organization’s priorities and supporting our hospital teams. Your expertise will help improve processes, elevate the employee and client experience, and strengthen the operational foundation of a growing, nationwide veterinary network.
 
What You’ll Do
Onboarding & Training –
  • Lead the onboarding process for new Practice Managers/Hospital
  • Administrators, ensuring timely and effective integration into Thrive.
  • Deliver structured training on Thrive policies, procedures, systems, and operational expectations.
  • Assess readiness and provide additional coaching or resources as needed.
Practice Manager Support – 
  • Serve as an ongoing point of contact for Practice Managers regarding policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Provide guidance, troubleshooting, and clarification to ensure consistent execution of Thrive standards.
  • Address operational questions and escalate issues when appropriate.
Cross-Department Collaboration –
  • Partner with Thrive departments (e.g., Operations, HR, Finance, Clinical, IT) to align workflows and expectations.
  • Communicate Practice Manager feedback and operational challenges to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support interdepartmental initiatives that impact practice operations.
Workflow Review & Process Improvement –
  • Review existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, or inconsistencies.
  • Recommend and support improvements to operational processes and documentation.
  • Assist in standardizing best practices across practices.
Project & Initiative Support/Policy & Procedure Development –
  • Support the rollout of new projects, systems, or operational initiatives.
  • Coordinate training, communication, and follow-up related to new implementations.
  •  Monitor adoption and assist Practice Managers during transition periods.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development, maintenance, and refinement of Thrive policies and procedures.
  • Ensure documentation is clear, current, and accessible.
  • Incorporate feedback from Practice Managers and leadership into updates.
Experience & Skills Requirements
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience required, 4-6 years of experience preferred.
  • Time management and prioritization in a multi-project environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Thrive’s practice policies and procedures with the ability to ensure consistent application across practices.
  •  Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and emotional intelligence when supporting and onboarding new Practice Managers.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively with Operations and other Thrive departments to support initiatives and drive process improvement.
  • Ability to identify operational gaps and recommend practical, scalable improvements preferred.
  • CVPM preferred, but not required.
