Animal Urgent Care of South Orange County

FT Emergency Veterinarian

Day Shift- 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM- up to 10 shifts every 4 weeks with rotating weekends/holidays.

  • 24/7 emergency & urgent care hospital
  • In-house diagnostic testing to include bloodwork, cytology, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and on-call specialty ultrasound available, and endoscopy.
  • Specialized services include fecal microbiota transplantation and an autologous cancer vaccine.
  • Comprehensive & compassionate care for all pets and their families to include dogs & cats and exotics for supportive ER care.
  • Partnership with animal services & local rehabilitators for injured wildlife.
  • Staff is committed to superior veterinary care throughout the life of your pet and quality client satisfaction for you, the pet owner.

We are community-centered, we honor the client/patient relationship, and we respect people and their pets.  We have tenured and experienced doctors.  Our technicians are highly utilized, respected, and supported. We are proud of our collaborative environment and excellent patient care.

Mission Viejo, California, in the Saddleback Valley, located in Orange County,is known for our abundant parks, golf courses, cultural attractions, and restaurants – just 8 miles from the beach. 

 

Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
  • State Veterinary Board License
    • Active and in good standing for the state of intended employment
    • Obtained before start date
  • Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
  • Experience in emergency medicine, including work experience, small animal rotating, or emergency internship, is strongly recommended.
  • Experience in endoscopy is preferred but not required.
