Compensation: $29-$42 (Up to $42 for applicants with a VTS)  
 
Shift Differential:
Mon-Fri 7pm-11pm $2/hr; 11pm-7am $4/hr
Sat/Sun7pm-11pm $6/hr; 11pm-7am $8/hr 
 
Sign-On Bonus:  Full-time roles
ER LVT day shift signing bonus: $2,500
ER LVT swing shift signing bonus: $3,000
ER LVT night shift signing bonus: $3,500
 
Shifts Available: flexible
Tues- Fri-8pm-6:30am
Sun-Tues-2pm-2am

Role Responsibilities
  • Supporting veterinarians in delivering high-quality, compassionate patient care and educating clients throughout their pet’s stay.
  • Triage incoming emergency patients and gather complete, relevant histories. 
  • Perform and assist with inpatient and outpatient diagnostic tests and treatments. 
  • Assist with procedures and surgeries, including anesthesia support. 
  • Initiate and monitor blood product transfusions. 
  • Provide attentive nursing care to ICU patients following hospital standards and protocols. 
  • Maintain accurate, thorough medical records and patient histories. 
  • Prepare patients for discharge and communicate instructions clearly to pet parents. 
  • Maintain clean, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs while adhering to safety and medical protocols. 
  • Foster a positive team environment by supporting and collaborating with colleagues. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
    • Active Washington State Veterinary Technician License (LVT) or the ability to obtain prior to start. 
      Foundation in emergency and critical care nursing, including patient triage and recognizing changes in patient condition. 
    • Comfort with (or interest in learning) advanced ECC skills, such as oxygen therapy management, tube care, blood transfusion monitoring, and caring for drains or specialized lines. Training and mentorship are readily available. 
    • Ability to identify common emergency patterns — such as shock and respiratory distress — and respond appropriately. 
    • Clear and confident communication skills, especially when supporting pet parents during stressful situations. 
    • Team-focused mindset, contributing to a collaborative, respectful, and supportive work environment. 
    • Commitment to Fear Free and low-stress handling, ensuring patient comfort and safety. 
    • Growth-oriented, with a desire to learn, develop, and pursue new skills in a teaching environment.

    Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $29-42hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
