Description

Regional trucking fleet operator maintaining a mixed fleet of Class 8 tractors and trailers across the Midwest. Our shop runs two shifts and supports 200+ power units. We're hiring an experienced diesel mechanic to keep our fleet safe and on the road.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and drivetrains on Class 7/8 trucks
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) and DOT annual inspections
- Troubleshoot electrical, air brake, and hydraulic systems
- Repair and replace components including clutches, alternators, starters, and injectors
- Document repairs accurately in fleet maintenance software
- Respond to road-call diagnostics as needed

Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience in a fleet or dealership environment
- Strong knowledge of Cummins, Detroit, or Paccar engines
- Proficiency with brake systems, electrical diagnostics, and hydraulics
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and FMCSA inspection standards
- Own set of hand tools
- Valid driver's license; CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months

Nice to Have
- ASE T-series certifications (T2, T4, T6)
- Allison transmission repair experience
- Reefer (Thermo King / Carrier) diagnostic experience
- MIG welding and fabrication skills
- Class A CDL.
