Team Lead - Electrical
Description
- Leads Electrical construction staff in the execution of daily operations to ensure performance and quality expectations are met.
- Tracks project schedules ensuring electrical work is completed on time and within budget.
- Interprets blueprints, designs, and specifications to ensure that electrical systems are installed according to plan. Generates RFI’s as needed.
- Inspects work for quality and ensures all work meets applicable code, industry standards, and company expectations.
- Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring for equipment and fixtures based on job specifications, construction plans, and local codes.
- Prepares sketches and communicates in writing on requests for information, to communicate gaps in information and/or proposing adjustments to plans to ensure accuracy of construction execution.
- Assembles, installs, and tests electrical and/or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures; utilizes hand tools and power tools independently.
- Installs conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas; pulls insulated wires or cables through conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
- Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
- Helps train and coach employees of various experience in all areas of electrical construction from a technical perspective while motivating team members to achieve optimal productivity abilities.
- Supports team members in areas of problem solving, decision making, process improvement, and professional growth in accordance with company policies.
- Works with team members to resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.
- Maintains current knowledge on laws and regulations of National Electrical Code (NEC) and Title 24.
- Advises management on whether continued operation of equipment and/or tools could be hazardous.
- Provides project management support for electrical construction and facility tenant improvements. Provides estimates on labor durations, cost estimates, and value engineering ideas in planning stages.
- Estimates material yield usage based on thorough reviews of project plans for cost estimates and accurate material orders.
- Maintains a safe work environment; work in a safe manner following all safety SOP’s and wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Monitors and tracks inventory of parts and equipment on job site.
- Ensures sufficient inventory to meet production goals while maintaining responsibility of assigned materials and consumables.
- Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of electrical experience in commercial construction. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Relevant education in classes for electrical theory, mathematics, blueprint reading, and safety protocols, preferred
- Valid California Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Reliable personal transportation with at least the state minimum insurance coverage; use of personal vehicle is required for essential functions.
- Valid documentation to travel to domestic and international sites.
- Completed certification of electrical apprenticeship.
- C10 license or Journeyman Electrician certification, preferred
Pay Range: $35.36 - 45.00/hr.
