About the role
 
You will participate in the System Level Test (SLT) team to ensure quality for SLT applications (SLT test programs, test framework, SLT web GUI and others). You will have a chance to work with many standard frameworks, design your own framework, and work with many types of test program. What you will do is of critical importance to our growing company.. 
 
The SLT Software Team at Ampere Computing is comprised of stellar folks who have dedicated themselves to develop the best products by collaborating with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to deal with problems. The role is challenging but very fun!
 
What you’ll achieve
  • Shift-left testing and CI/CD integration: Develop, maintain and integrate automated testcase(s) with CI/CD pipeline and version control system.
  • Design, maintain and improve existing QA test automation framework.
  • Develop utilities, tools and libraries to support testing activities.
  • Explore the latest testing technologies to enhance QA test framework, QA processes.
  • QA plan and execution:
    • Review the product requirements and relevant specifications to develop the test matrix, test scenario; early detection the gap from the documents or process flow to reduce the quality cost.
    • Build QA test plan, design testcases, prepare test data, test environment, execute and analyze the test results to detect the abnormality. 
    • Maintain the QA processes and systems including the test environment, test version management, documents and reports.
    • Lead the production issues raised by internal and external customers; manage bug life cycle and co-work with cross-functional groups to drive for corrective and preventive solutions.
  • Provide consultancy on QA processes and share knowledge with the team.
  • Support some other projects assigned by manager.
About you
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, covering both automation test and manual test. Solid understanding of various testing methodologies, types and technique are needed (API testing, UI testing, performance testing, database testing….)
  • Knowledge of security testing is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in continuous integration/ continuous deployment (CI/CD) process and tools (e.g., Jenkins).
  • Understand and have experience working with test management tools (e.g., Xray).
  • Proficient in Linux, Python programming skills.
  • Proficient in automation testing tools/frameworks: Robot Framework, Selenium or Playwright.
  • Experience with version control systems.
  • Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker)
  • Knowledge in network protocols (including DHCP, FTP, SFTP), network concepts such as HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, VPN, firewalls and load balancers.
  • Good QA sense, passionate about quality and the design of the code, productivity of the work, and maintainability of the result.
  • Have strong analytical, data-analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and communication skill in English and Vietnamese. 
  • Willing to learn and research new technology or jump out of your comfort zone.
  • Good teamwork with ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Software Engineer/ Computer Engineering, or related field.
