About the role:
Ampere is seeking a Fab Process Engineer, Senior Principal level to lead fab process health, robustness, and yield analysis to drive overall product health, process yield improvement, and influencing design points in future products for robust high performing CPU products.
What you’ll achieve:
- Data mining, yield modeling, yield improvement through data analysis
- Build a yield management methodology starting from WAT, to sort to final test that allows for full correlation, commonality analysis, and building yield models
- Build System to automate the classification of defects to allow for commonality, trend analysis, and defect reduction
- Apply learning from generation to generation of products to optimize design robustness while driving performance
- Work with design on test vehicles to vet out high-risk IP’s prior to product silicon
- Define characterization plan for new devices based on pre-si and test vehicle FMEA’s
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 12+ years experience in semiconductor yield enhancement data management and analysis
- Hands-on experience in VLSI SoC or microprocessor product bring-up and productization
- Strong wafer foundry background to drive yield enhancement, CCB technical decisions for lot dispositioning
- Strong yield enhancement background and yield improvement experience
- Experience implementing yield management tools, decided on tools, and implemented systems
- Experience working directly with a wafer fab on yield enhancement, lot dispositioning, RMA, trend analysis
- Experience with post silicon validation, quality and reliability, test/manufacturing
- Knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals and CMOS circuits
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills and the ability to proactively solve issues
- Proven ability to learn and adapt to new methodologies and technologies
- Excellent problem solving, teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

The full base pay range for this role is between $163,100 and $271,900, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $171,800 and $286,300.
