About the role: 

Our System Level Test Engineer requires a background in backend microprocessor testing focusing on equipment performance and active thermal control systems. You will be responsible for equipment configuration and performance through all product life milestones, You also  need to be proactive, detail orientated, and data driven. Excellent communication skills is required and be able to work with multiple teams across a fast pace, world wide organization

What you’ll achieve: 
 
  • Work with suppliers to spec and evaluate ATE/SLT active thermal control units and Handlers
  • Conduct process evaluations, root cause analyses, and process capability studies to identify and resolve equipment-related issues, defects, and inefficiencies. 
  • Review production fail data and propose equipment improvement.
  • Design and conduct thermal testing, prepare results reports, and troubleshoot or root cause issues that arise
  • Tune SLT and ATE thermal solutions (PID settings, flow rate, force, etc.)
  • Ability to make engineering judgments based on first order calculations regarding heat transfer, fluid flow, component size, stiffness, failure risk, etc.
  • Implements parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of thermal performance, form/fit/function, safety, and component reliability.
  • Source and evaluate TIM1/TIM2 solutions for Test in SLT and ATE
  • Propose and evaluate SLT/ATE continuous improvement projects
  • Work with OSATS/CM to improve production KPIs
  • Collaborate and communicate with management, internal worldwide teams, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Ability to work independently as well as manage outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for backend testing
About you: 
 
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 8 years of experience or Master's degree with minimum 6 years of experience in Thermal-Mechanical Engineering / Automation Engineering or similar discipline
  • 5 years’ experience with sourcing, evaluating, and improving active thermal control test solutions used in ATE and SLT environments
  • 5 years’ experience with Thermal interface materials (TIM1/TIM2) used in HVM PCU testing
  • 5 years’ of experience in equipment bring up to HVM with a strong understanding of backend testing
  • Strong understanding of PID tuning methodology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience within the electronics industry, with an understanding of backed test methodology
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
