About the role: 

Our Principal System Level Test Engineer requires a background in server class systems with focus on the processor SoC.  Goal is to deliver high quality devices to customers and react instantly to any issues.  A sense of urgency to drive and deliver critical business milestones. You will have a strong interest in testing, enjoy working in a production environment with your team, and establishing necessary schedules and plans.
What you’ll achieve: 
 
  • Join SLT platform team for SLT board development and qualification
  • Support SLT boards test in lab and CMs to deliver quality SLT boards
  • Qualify HW equipment to meet both NPI and production needs
  • Leverage automation tools to conduct stress test, Burn-In test for reliability
  • Ensure high quality test board released to production OSAT in Asia
  • Work with SLT team to ensure and maintain test sites stability 
  • Qualify/track socket/elastomer for production failure analysis and improvement 
  • Support Ops team on NPI startup and HVM deployment activities
  • Monitor and work with OSAT team to resolve daily production issues
  • Debug system level failures to root cause
  • Drive and work with OSAT team to follow manufacturing test requirements
  • Support SLT HW and test equipment purchase, installation, configuration and maintenance
  • Work with PCBA CM from BOM review till product deliveries
  • Provide PCBA CM with test requirements, process and automation
  • Manage PCBA CM with build schedule, test equipment and gold parts
  • Work with CM and test equipment vendors for DFT, DFM improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement by leverage learning from the current product to the next
About you: 
 
  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 8 years of experience or Master's degree with minimum 6 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Experience in system validation – BMC, CPU, DDR, PCIe, I2C, UART, etc.
  • Experience with software programming in Python or C/C++
  • Experience of PCBA and board level functional test and debug
  • Experience of Linux and knowledge of CPU boot process with UEFI
  • Experience with test equipment such as ATE/SLT Handlers
  • Solid background in HVM production testing, test methodology and debug 
  • Experience with OCPLM (or equivalent), Jira tools is a plus  
  • Familiar with board level debug and test tools
  • Familiar with Arm based server chip architecture and system level test is a plus
  • Good understanding of JTAG with OpenOCD experience is a plus
