Role:
If you possess a passion for outstanding technology leadership and embrace the challenge of working on highly scalable systems that handle large volumes of data and automate large scale operations, this position is for you. We are building state-of-the art capabilities, data processing systems, support tools, and automation instrumentation that will greatly impact how our customers successfully use data to improve their businesses performance, scalability, profitability, and market strategies.
In this role, you will
- Drive architecture to deliver on large mission critical programs
- Be responsible for initiating, designing and driving forward high impact ideas for the product area and/or company
- Have broad cross-functional or cross-product impact in the organization and help set strategic direction for products and technology
- Influence and achieve result through recognized technical expertise and thought leadership in the industry
- Work across multiple Product teams, be a strong contributor in setting product architecture, and connect the dots across teams
- Work with Product and Engineering to help drive alignment on product direction
- Participate in high profile and critical customer engagements and meet with customers as needed
- Be the technical spokesperson to convey architectural ideas and decisions to senior management as well as to senior architects in the org
- Be the technology advocate for the company who participates in due diligence activities, conferences, meet-ups etc
- Provide technical leadership across multiple Product areas, and is frequently consulted by Senior Leadership
- Be actively involved in hiring of technical leads, architects, and senior engineering leaders
Requirements:
To be successful, you have:
- Led the architecture of large scale data pipelines for enterprise customers
- Expertise in building and scaling SaaS products
- Embrace API First development
- Has experienced the full product lifecycle from inception through scale
- Delivered exceptional business outcomes in cloud, and hybrid scenarios
- Influenced the technology direction of a Sr. Director / VP 's organization
- Mentored senior and/or principal engineers to get them to the next level
- Been recognized as an industry expert in distributed systems and data streaming
- Proven experience as a technical leader in agile software development e.g. planning, leading and delivering via sprints
Plus:
Not required, and would be good to have:
- Experience with Splunk software or a similar analytics solution
- Experience with leading or contributing to open source projects
- Experience with working in a direct customer facing environment
