Senior Business Value Advisor, Asia
Job Description:
We are seeking an outstanding candidate to evangelize the business value of Splunk inside and outside the company. Be consultative on the value selling process with field sales teams and sales leaders supporting opportunities with new and existing Splunk customers.
This is a great opportunity for a sharp, eager Field Consultant interested in jumping on board with one of the fastest growing companies in the world in Security and Observability. Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
- Evangelize the business value of Splunk inside and outside the company.
- Become an expert in Splunk’s methodologies while driving adoption.
- Be a consultant on the value selling process with field sales teams and sales leaders supporting opportunities with new and existing Splunk customers.
- Assist in opportunities directly, engaging with clients and performing interviews to build the business case or document business value realized by the customers.
- Research client business goals and initiatives and align Splunk product value to them.
- Perform strategic business and financial analysis in support of opportunities.
- Build financial benefits analysis models for practitioners and field sales teams.
- Articulate solution enablers and core Splunk differentiators to solve customers’ business challenges.
- Develop new methods and/or improve existing value selling based on field and customers’ feedback.
- Leverage existing value consulting material and tools to develop future deliverables.
- Review and improve deliverables based on field and customer feedback.
- Leverage innovative ways, tools, methodologies to facilitate further adoption and success in value selling.
- Assist with Splunk’s on-boarding process and ongoing field enablement efforts with value consulting training, knowledge management, etc.
- Contribute to demand generation and thought leadership through executive presentations, blogs, webinars, speaking opportunities, whitepapers, etc.
- Regularly provide relevant field experience insights to key stakeholders in product management, marketing, engineering, and Splunk’s senior leadership.
Requirements: I’ve already done that or have that!
- Demonstrated ability, of which proven experience in selling to IT or working in IT with an experienced track record of working closely with senior business and IT decision makers on value selling, or value engineering, or strategy consulting or business consulting, or sales consulting, with exposure to senior management.
- Prior experience in enterprise software in a consulting firm is a bonus.
- Strong sales strategy analysis
- Good understanding of how IT supports the business.
- Solid business case crafting and analysis skills
- Consultative selling approach
- High level written and verbal communication and presentation skills at professional level.
- Excellent financial knowledge in multiple business functional areas with analytic capabilities
- A leader with a point of view and evangelist

- Positive team member and collaborator
- Master’s degree (preferably) or bachelor’s degree in economics, Computer Science, a related or work experience.
- Bilingual English and Mandarin would be advantageous for China market coverage.
