The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Product Manager to work on the Nutanix SaaS Engineering GenAI Platform. In this high-impact role, you will define the strategy, vision, and roadmap for an enterprise-grade GenAI platform that powers next-generation intelligent applications across the Nutanix ecosystem. You will partner closely with various business product managers, engineering, UX, and data science teams to build exceptional capabilities in the platform that serve the requirements of multiple business divisions at Nutanix.

This role is responsible for building reusable, foundational platform services that power sophisticated AI agents at scale. You will operate at the intersection of customer-facing solutions and core platform engineering, converting real-world requirements into robust platform capabilities that serve as the building blocks for future innovation across the organization.

You will contribute to the product lifecycle for core GenAI platform capabilities, from early discovery and validation through design, execution, launch, and iteration. Partnering closely with AI/ML engineering and customer teams, you will identify repeatable patterns and workflows from bespoke implementations and systematically transform them into scalable, composable platform components that can be leveraged globally.

About the Team

At Nutanix, you will be joining the Support Experience Product Management team of SAAS Engineering Division. Our team comprises diverse talent from various locations, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives that enables us to innovate and tackle challenges effectively. The collaborative culture is at the heart of our work environment, where open communication and teamwork are encouraged, ensuring that every team member's voice is heard and valued. This position will work in a hybrid setup, based out of our Bangalore office, where you will be expected to be in the office three days a week.

Your Role

• Collaborate with leadership and various business and product teams to develop the product strategy for the GenAI platform.
• Define and deliver measurable business outcomes, ROI, linking GenAI initiatives to tangible business impact metrics.
• Define and own the AI/ML evaluation strategy, translating technical metrics (e.g., Precision, Recall, Perplexity, RAG Faithfulness, etc.) into business value to make data-driven trade-offs between model accuracy, latency, and cost, ensuring rigorous release criteria that correlate offline benchmarks with real-world product impact.
• Be data-driven — Demonstrate strong data analysis capabilities, and plan for platform backlog. Use data and insights to drive both strategic product decisions and day-to-day execution, balancing short-term needs with long-term innovation.
• Write and manage detailed product requirements and specifications that can be directly utilized by engineering teams to efficiently implement GenAI platform features.
• Develop a product roadmap by identifying and prioritizing new features and improvements based on customer feedback, GenAI advancements, technical considerations, and business objectives.
• Drive the development of reusable platform components that accelerate the creation of AI agents.
• Manage the end-to-end process of turning successful custom solutions into scalable, documented platform features.
• Research on the latest technical advancements in GenAI, ML, NLP, and Agent, and introduce those capabilities in our GenAI platform
• Work with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and solution architects on complex platform projects.
• Develop the processes and strategy for building a powerful, repeatable layer of intellectual property.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure technical feasibility and the timely delivery of high-quality platform features.
• Work on creating content that drives adoption and educates users on new features and capabilities.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• MBA preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in AI or GenAI platform product management with proven success delivering business impact.
• Experience of RAG, GenAI ChatBOT, AI Agents, LLMs, NLP, ML, and Search.
• Design and run A/B and multivariate experiments to measure impact, iterate quickly, and optimize for deflection and customer satisfaction.
• Deep understanding of RAG (Retrieval augmented generation), agent workflows, and user experience design.
• Ability to translate complex AI capabilities into actionable, user-centered product features.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and storytelling skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Technical aptitude to engage with engineering teams and understand AI architecture tradeoffs.
• Experience with data analytics tools, feedback platforms, or AI evaluation frameworks is a plus.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
