The Opportunity
Are you a seasoned technology expert with a deep understanding of Kubernetes, virtualization, and cloud-native platforms, seeking to architect and implement cutting-edge solutions? About the Team
The role will be part of the Professional Services team at Nutanix, based in Pune. This team is dedicated to providing expert guidance and support in the adoption of cloud-native technologies, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation. You will report to the Director, Professional Services, who embodies a collaborative leadership style that encourages open communication and empowers team members to take initiative. The work setup for this role is hybrid, requiring the new hire to be in the office for three days a week, allowing for flexibility while ensuring valuable in-person collaboration with the team and stakeholders.
This position does require travel, as you will engage with clients and partners at various locations to deliver consulting services and support, thereby enhancing customer relationships and facilitating successful project outcomes.
Your Role
  • Architect and design NKP-based Kubernetes platforms across various infrastructures (on-prem, hybrid, public cloud).
  • Implement and manage lifecycle operations for NKP clusters, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines and establish GitOps operational models for streamlined deployment.
  • Define and implement security and governance policies across virtualization and Kubernetes layers.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize performance of the integrated platforms, ensuring high availability.
  • Lead workshops and act as a trusted advisor to customers on platform adoption and modernization.
  • Mentor and guide junior consultants, contributing to the development of best practices and reference architectures.
  • Drive customer engagement and satisfaction through effective communication and consultation.
What You Will Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, and platform engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV and VMware vSphere.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, operations, and security best practices.
  • Proficient in CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using CLI, APIs, and observability tools.
  • Excellent communication and consulting abilities with a customer-facing approach.
  • Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security architectures in cloud-native environments.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
